Hello!
Trying to succeed in both AP Chem and Bio at the same year is a tough task for any highschooler,
so let me start off by saying I understand how much pressure you feel right now.
That being said, instead of giving you some generic, meaningless response,
I'll give you some harsh, but honest (and ultimately more helpful) advice.
I've had many students ask whether its a good strategy to "memorize" an entire book to prepare for AP tests,
and the short answer is no.
Two reasons :
1. it's extremely rare to find students who actually have the time and willpower to memorize everything in a book
(take a hard look at the mirror and be honest with yourself)
2. even if you have that kind of time, it's better spent consolidating your knowledge than trudging along in hopes of "finishing" a book
If you still think you can memorize everything, and it feels like the best plan, then by all means go for it.
You will know everything you need to know for the test.
If you think you'll probably get tired of it halfway through, then don't even start.
It's pointless to do it halfway. You might as well save yourself the stress and anxiety.
If you want to be strategic in how you use your time to maximize your chances of success
you are much better of taking a few complete practice tests for AP Bio.
(It can be from my lectures, or someone elses, or from some practice books you bought, it doesn't matter. The point is to try solving some problems)
You'll notice there will be areas where you consistently get problems wrong.
Outline the chapters you need to study/review,
sit down and ACTUALLY DO THE WORK
enough talking and planning, now's the time to study.
Once you feel like you've covered all the chapters you need, you'll have about 2-3 weeks left until the test.
This is when you rinse and repeat, both MCQ and FRQ questions, until your test date.
As of right now, you have about two months left.
Target the chapters you want to focus on, then study them until you can solve 95% of the questions.
Hope this helps. Good luck! :D
