음.. I understand what you're getting at,

but still the answer remains the same.

like you said, annual fluctuation could mean the up and down cycle from year to year

but the problem is there is no up and down from year to year.

Based on the larger graph, every year there is an increase compared to the last.

sin 그래프처럼 되어 있으니, 매년 최저점과 최고점을 비교해보면

항상 상승하는 추세가 보이기 때문에

fluctuation 자체가 없다고 말하는게 맞죠.

그럼 fluctuation이 있는 부분은 오른쪽 아래 그래프가 보여주는

1년 내에서 season에 따른 변화 밖에 없는데

그 이유는 강의에서 설명한대로 northern hemisphere의 photosynthetic activity의 영향이라고 보는게

가장 합리적이겠죠.
