good afternoon, i am writing again because i have question on number 9, I do not still understand why "a" is a correct answer. from what I know a clay is an external force that affects the momentum, if this is not an external force, I do not understand what is considered as external force and how to classify whether it is an external force or not. thank you for your kind remarks ^.^

관심의 대상이 되는 system 을 구성하고 있는 element 들 사이의 force 는 internal force 입니다. 그들이 아닌 외부에서 주어지는 것이 external force 이구요. 

이 문제에서 interested system = disk + a piece of clay  입니다. clay 와 disk 가 충돌해서 주고 받는 force 는 internal force 입니다. 

 

이 문제에서는 "angular momentum of the system" 을 물어봤기 때문에 external force 가 없고, 답이 (A) 인 것입니다. 

만약 문제가 "angular momentum of the disk" 를 물어봤다면 이 경우에는 system = disk only 가 되고 clay 가 충둘해서 주는 force 는 external force 가 되며, 당연히 disk 자체의 angular momentum 은 변합니다.
