Hello, Mr. Bae!
I have applied your tips for answering practice test 10.
I have tried both roughly reading and not reading the passage approach, but used latter more. It worked well!
Even though I didn't read the passage, through answering the questions, I could most of the times automatically understand the points of the passage. But I think, some passage needs skim reading beforehand, while other don't, depending on how the questions were aligned and the types of questions.
I had 2 minutes left for the reading test. So, I feel much confident with 'time' now.
I got -9 wrong, most of them 'detail' questions. And most of them were so easy. I think there were only 2 questions that I would have gotten wrong, even with enough time. However, I could have gotten the other 7 questions correct.
Because of time constraint, I couldn't write down the summaries for each paragraph. But I did this with my head as I went along. Should I try to go through this process?
I am satisfied with my results because -9 is equivalent to 320 points on SAT. Assuming that I get 380 for writing and 800 for math, I would get 1500.
But I believe I can do better for reading. Now, I would have to focus on getting less wrong with the limited time. Should I keep testing myself with the practice test? Or should I try one passage at a time and make my own comfortable approach for effectively solving questions?
I don't know what step should I take to get better/ maintain my ability.
If there aren't much left for me to do, I am planning to keep solving the practice exam, correcting them and watch your reading lecture from time to time to maintain my accuracy on answering questions.
Thank you!
