여기에서 알수 있는 점은 winning the first 와 winning the second 은 independent events가 아닙니다. 왜냐하면

P(winning the first and second)=0.1,  P(winning the first) X P(losing the second)=0.5x0.4=0.2 로 두개의 값이 같지 않습니다.

학생의 풀이가 맞기 위해서는 "winning the first" 와 "losing the second" independent  이어야 합니다. 하지만, 위에서 설명한 것과 같이 two events are not independent. 학생의 풀이는

"winning the first" 와 "losing the second"는 independent 하다는 가정하에 풀었기 때문에 틀린것입니다.
