위에 피라미드를 보시면 producer level 에서 consumer level로 올라갈때 전체 에너지의 10프로만 올라가죠? 왜냐면..

not all the individuals are eaten by the next trophic members, 

and some are not assimilated and excreted out in form of feces

and lots of energy is loss as heat  ( 오른쪽 그림)
