I have two questions today!

1. I couldn't understand the topic for the last paragraph of passage 1. 

Since, the blurb consistently mentioned, "slavery" I thought the purpose of this paragraph had to do something with slavery. 

As a result I got question 14 wrong. 

I think the only thing I can do is avoid miscomprehensions of a paragraph by looking through the context.

The grammars, words used on the last paragraph were especially hard too. 

Do you have any tips for reading and understanding passages written long ago?

2. I want to check my reasons for not choosing D for question 15. 

D) says," used to enforce obedience to moral laws". 

However, it is off topic because unjust law doesn't have to do with enforcing nor not enforcing obedience to moral law. 

Unjust law should be disobeyed by the name of moral responsibility. Is this right?
