3 Lecture_1_Reading Practice Test #1_01 3
작성자 cje*** 등록일 2021-01-01 오후 5:15:08

Hello, Mr. Bae.

Always thank you for your concrete explanations for my questions.

I have taken the SAT and got 620 for reading and writing. ( higher score for writing)

Well, for reading I didn't have enough time for one passage, so I just picked random answers.

Seeing that, I have thought that I need to shorten time for solving reading.

After completing your Reading lecture, I am reviewing from the beginning.

On question 6, I think answer choice B could also be an answer.

On the lecture, you have mentioned the line refernece 43-45 doesn't refers to 'fortune'.

However, from my inference, from line 33-35, which says, " To have a life where one traveled, where one did what on wanted, seemed like being rich". So from a small logical step, I thought it would be fine to link travel and fortune.

How do you think about it?

Hey student!

Time management is a problem that many students face. Keep working on answering questions with more speed and purpose. You got this! =)

To answer your question, yes, line 33-35 do mention "rich," which can relate to fortune. HOWEVER, this a question pair, so you have to consider question #7 as well. None of the answer choices refer to lines 33-35, so there is no support for (B) in question #6. That is why you must eliminate it.

Question #7: (B) refers to lines 43-45, and when you analyze those lines, you will notice that there is no reference to fortune; instead, these lines only refer to the "freedom" that the narrator could have by becoming a writer. That is why (C) is right for #6, and (B) is right for #7. Remeber that if you have a paired question, it helps to start with the second question and work backwards from there. That will help you to more confidently eliminate an answer like (B) in #6.

Hope that helps!

Keep moving forward!
