Lesson 5 Stoichiometry 15
작성자 sjk*** 등록일 2020-10-14 오전 9:42:10

Hi, I was just stuck on example 2, which is about ammonia, from the stoichiometry lesson. I'm not quite sure how to solve it.

Thank you!

Hi,

I attached the image file.

For the simple stoichiometry, i didnt put much explanation actually. Sorry for that.

However, for those stoichiometric questions, they were 10th grade chemistry (regular or honors chem) level, so it was kind of reviewing last year chemistry questions, so I did only simple explanation I guess.

It's not a hard question, which means you just need to know

1) how to convert the mass to moles or moles to mass (i think you know this 😊 right?)

2) how to convert the volume to moles or moles to volume (that's only for gases at STP, otherwise, we need to use PV=nRT, but that's in AP exam as well)

3) how to determine the limiting reactant (in consideration of moles of reactants, by comparing them with the coeffecients)

4) how to determine the amount of reactants or products in moles or in grams too (coefficients ratio are always same as the REACTING molar ratio)

If number of atoms or molecules of something is asked, you can multiply it by avogadro's number.

Those are basic guidelines.

So I would recommend you to review and practice solving more questions on this.

This is really basic but really significant for coming topics. :)

I hope it helps.

Thanks.

Best,

Kelda Park
