답이 C) number of protons in the nucleus of an atom 이라고 하셨는데

A) number of electrons surrounding the nucleus of an atom은 왜 답이 안되는지 모르겠습니다 ㅜㅜ

안녕하세요 atom 은 proton number에 의하여 identify 하는 것으로 약속되어있고요
electrons의 수를 바꾸면 ion이 되는거에요
electron의 갯수가 proton보다 많아지면, negatively charged anion, 
적어지면 positively charged cation이되는겁니다 ^^ 이해가 되었나요?
