Hey Student! =)
Wonderful Question. Thank you for the inquiry. After looking at the book, you are absolutely right, and I have to apoligize for the mistake - I'm not sure if the wording in the book is different from the wording in the lecture. Regardless, Answer choice B is the correct answer (10000%) haha. Figure 2 clearly indicates that the dogs looked at the humans after about 40 seconds when engaged in the rope task, while the dogs looked at the humans after about 60 seconds when working on the bin task. This would clearly imply that the dogs were stymied (stumped) more quickly by the rope task than by the bin task.
Answer choice D is clearly not suppprted by the figure nor the passage. D states that dogs were slower to show "affection" (totally unsupported by both figure 2 and the passage). This should be a clear enough reason to eliminate D.
Thank you so much for catching my error. I really enjoy working with students who are as observant as you are. =) It really helps me to have a team of students who can catch my mistakes so that I can improve the quality of my lectures.
Much much appreciated!
Have a fantastic day and Keep Moving Forward! =)
