이 강의 마지막 질문 4번에서 deduce the rate of the overall reaction and state the order of the reaction. 여기서 

rate=[N2O] 가 답이라고 하셨는데 왜 [N2O]2 는 안되는 거에요? 그리고 rate 구할때 어떤건 slowest reaction 으로 하고 어떤건 step1 이랑 step 2 에서 intermediate 을 cancel 한 것으로 rate 을 구하는거같은데 기준이 뭔가요 lecture을 돌려 보아도 설명을 잘 못알아 듣겠어요;; 예시를 들어서 자세히 설명 부탁 드립니다.

1.2N2O (g) à 2N2 (g) + O2 (g)
2.Areaction intermediate is formed in one step then consumed in the subsequentstep.  The intermediate here will be theoxygen atom, O (g).
3.Step1 is the slow step, which is the rate determining step (RDS).  This elementary step is unimolecular
4.Rateof RDS = k1[N2O],so the rate of the overall reaction = k[N2O].The reaction is first order with respect to N2O(g), so first order overall.
Reaction rate is only determined by the by the slowest step.  Step 1 is the slowest step of the reaction therefore the rate of the overall reaction is only determined by reactant of the step 1.
