안녕하세요!
시험 직전이니 공부하다 질문 생기는건 당연한거죠.
마음 편하게 게시판에 글 많이 올려주세요. 최대한 빨리 답변해드릴께요.
endocytosis를 생각할때, 단순히 ion transport 위주로 생각하지 않고
더 큰 macromolecule transport까지 생각해보면 될것 같아요.
phagocytosis의 경우, (which is an example of endocytosis)
large molecule을 흡수하기 위해서 감싸면서 cell membrane이 안쪽으로 함몰되면서 들어오는 과정인데
이때 당연히 fluidity가 있어야 membrane이 변형되면서 흡수할 수 있겠죠.
protein pumps are specifically referring to proteins located on the membrane of a cell,
used to move small chemical particles or ions against the concentration gradient using ATP.
in terms of moving large particles that may not fit through these narrow transport regions of the protein,
fluidity of the membrane becomes much more important for endocytosis overall.
when reviewing, focus on the specific examples of active transport
you'll notice that exo-, endocytosis are considered separate from ion pumps
look at the specific examples of endocytosis I talked about in lecture and you'll get a better understanding
of active membrane transport as a whole.
