Hello,

This is Bridget Yun.

I was wondering if you have made a mistake in problem 7 of Lecture 14. I wrote that x=-1 should be excluded but you wrote that x=-1 and x=-2 should be excluded. Below is a file of what I was thinking should have happened.

Dear Bridget,

 

Thanks for asking this. I wrote down that x=-1 and x=-2 are excluded because of two different reasons. For x=-1, it is a vertical asymptote. On the other hand, for x=-2, it is a hole. It makes both numerator and denominator 0, which should not happen. 

 

So, you should delete the two numbers from you set of x values.
