음.. 학교 선생님이 주신 study guide이면, 주로 학교 수업중에 다룬 내용이니까

학교에서 사용한 교과서나 자료를 참고하는 것이 가장 좋을것 같아요.

일단 간단하게만 정리해볼께요.

1. Three Mile Island 

cause : human error resulting in overheating of the nuclear reactor, leading to partial meltdown.

damage : unknown amount of radiation released to the environment

   temporary evacuation of local area (no documented increase in health problems)

2. Chernobyl

cause : human error during emergency testing, leading to explosion and fires.

damage : 31 deaths due to acute radiation exposure + many other long term illnesses and deaths

   evacuation of entire Chernobyl area (~100,000 people)

3. Fukushima

cause : tsunami, caused by underwater earthquake, caused damage to power plant structure leading to explosion and fires.

damage : radioactive gas and water released to environment

   evacuation of entire Fukushima area (~100,000 people)

모든 APES 교과서에서 위에 3 사건은 반드시 언급되니 꼭 스스로 찾아서 읽어보시고
