선생님 안녕하세요,


이 문제에서 풀이는 완전히 이해가 되는데요,

part (b)의 x and y component 분해한 그림의 핑크색 sin 과 cos vectors에서, 왜 x component가 sin이고 y component가 cos인가요? 원래 x component에는 cos이고 y-component에는 sin 아닌가요?

Angle의 위치가 중요합니다! 

Adjacent side (angle이랑 붙어있는 쪽)에 cos(theta)를 곱하셔야 하구요. 

Opposite side (angle이랑 떨어져 있는 쪽)에 sin(theta)를 곱하셔야 합니다. 

 

sin(theta)=opposite side/ hypotenuse 이고 cos(theta)=adjacent side/hypotenuse 이기 때문입니다!
