12번 문제에서 나온 3번 chromosomes 들을
homologous chromosomes 라고 지정하기 위해선
반대쪽, 상보적인, 즉 다른 부모로부터 받은 chromosome 들도 같이 지정이 되어야 해요.
그래야 "둘 사이의 관계가" homologous chromosomes 라고 부를 수 있는거에요.
two separate chromosomes are required for their relationship to be described as homologous.
우리에게 주어진 도형에서,
we are looking at 2 pairs of chromosomes.
For example,
Chromosome A are the long ones (1,2 // and the pair labeled 3)
Chromosome B are the short ones (pairs labeled 4 // 6)
Taking the example of chromosome B,
we assume that pair 4 came from mom, pair 6 came from dad,
hence chromosomes 4 and 6 are considered "homologous chromosomes".
Within pair 6, we can see two sister chromatids still joined together
(not yet undergone meiosis, just replication)
one labeled 5 and the one immediately next to it.
These two would be considered sister chromatids,
just like labels 1, 2 are showing sister chromatids.
